Standoff On Westcott Street Ends Quietly

Syracuse, N.Y. - A quiet end to a standoff at a convenience store in Syracuse yesterday.

Police repsondedLast night Police responded to a 911 call about about a man waving what appeared to be a handgun around, while walking with a female, and two dogs.

When police arrived at the location on Westcott Street, the 45-year-old man barricaded himself inside the store with a woman, dogs and a store employee. Several officers responded to the scene and the standoff ended peacefully after about 90 minutes.

The name of the man hasn't been released and there's no word charges.
