Gas Prices Drop Again This Week According to AAA

Syracuse, N.Y - The price of a gallon of gas continues in the right direction though slowly.

The national average price for a gallon of gas is $4.08, down 3 cents change from last week. One year ago, the price was $2.87 at this time.

The state average is $4.18, down 4 cents from last week but still up 1.18 from this time last year. Syracuse's price is $4.21 down 4 cents, Rochester is down 3 cents,

Watertown and Elmire are down 4 cents, with Ithaca and Rome only down 2 cents .

Below are the current average prices in the Central and Western NY region according to Triple A

  • Batavia - $4.23 (down 5 cents from last week)
  • Buffalo - $4.23 (down 5 cents from last week)
  • Elmira - $4.13 (down 4 cents from last week)
  • Ithaca - $4.19 (down 2 cents from last week)
  • Rochester - $4.27 (down 3 cents from last week)
  • Rome - $4.22 (down 2 cents from last week)
  • Syracuse - $4.21 (down 4 cents from last week)
  • Watertown - $4.24 (down 4 cents from last week)
