Syracuse, N.Y. - An 8 hour stand off in the Strathmore area of Syracuse has ended but police did not find their suspect.
Syracuse Police say around 5 in the morning officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Grant Avenue for a burglary investigation.
Several Officers were on scene along with the department's SWAT team. It was believed that the suspects were possibly still inside the residence and armed.
Around 1 in the afternoon SWAT teams and K9 units entered the house and no one was found.
The incident took place near Bellvue elementary school.
