Oswego County Legislature To Hold Special Meeting Regarding Teen's Death

Oswego, N.Y. - In response to public outcry over a teens death, the Oswego County Legislature has scheduled a special meeting this Friday.

The purpose of the meeting is to vote on whether to authorize $75,000 to hire an external reviewer who will determine where the Department Of Social Service systme in that county failed and led to the death of 17-year-old Jordan Brooks.

They hope the report will identify strengths and weaknesses and identify areas for improvement in the department.

Brooks who had cerebral palsy died due to malnutrition and infection. His mother and stepfather face manslaughter and negligent homicide charges.
