Syracuse Police are charging an employee of a popular Armory Square venue with attempted murder.

* The charges for Tatum have been upgraded to Attempted Murder from Reckless Endangerment. No gunshot related injuries were reported. A leg injury was sustained from someone fleeing, but they were not struck by gunfire. 

Original Information Release:  

On Saturday, March 19th, 2022, at around 6:50 P.M., Officers responded to Sky Armory, located at 351 S. Clinton Street, for a shots fired call. Calls were made to 911 that a male had just fired a gun inside the business at a group of males and was now fleeing the building. Officers Pietricola and Knapp quickly responded and apprehended the suspect in the Sky Armory alleyway near Clinton/Walton Street. The suspect was identified as Damian Tatum, 28. Tatum was arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. This was an isolated incident on the third floor of the establishment.
