DeWitt Police Arrest Serial Thief Who Stole Running Unattended Vehicles

East Syracuse, N.Y. - Town of DeWitt Police have arrested a man and charged him with stealing three vehicles over the past few week. Each of them from a Byrne Dairy parking lot.

37 year old Robby Robinson of Clay stole a vehicle from the Byrne Dairy on Thompson Road, Dewitt February 9th, then the West Manlius street location February 18th and March 4th.

Robinson had been arrested by Manlius Police February 7th, for operating a vehicle that was stolen that day from Shop City Plaza.

In each instance, Robinson was arraigned in court and released on his own recognizance

In each of these incidents, the vehicles were left running and unattended with keys in the ignition. The Dewitt Police Department urges motorists to avoid leaving their vehicles unattended while running, to always lock your doors and take the keys with you and to also not keep valuable items in plain view inside of your vehicle.
