Vigil Being Held Tonight For Woman, Son Shot By Onondaga County Deputy

Liverpool, N.Y. - A candlelight vigil is being held tonight for a woman and her son who were shot by a deputy with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department.

The event starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Pope John 23rd Roman Catholic Church on Soule Road in Liverpool. On Monday, police say Deputy Isaac Eames shot his son, 21-year-old Troy Eames, and his wife 46-year-old Karen Eames at their home in Brewerton before shooting himself. Isaac died at the scene while Troy died a few hours later. Karen was seriously hurt but is expected to survive. She has spoken to investigators.

There has also been a GoFundMe established for the surviving members of the Eames family. So far more than $70,000 has been raised.

Troy was a student at ESF. Karen is a secretary at Liverpool High School.
