Albany, N.Y. - We now have an idea of the new congressional districts in NY. The Newly proposed congressional district maps in New York State were released to the public Sunday afternoon.
Under the proposal, Onondaga, Tompkins, Madison, Southern Cayuga, Northern Cortland, and Northwestern Madison Counties all fall under district 22.
This proposal would add Ithaca to Syracuse's congressional district. Oneida and Eastern Oswego County fall under district 21.
The 24th district would include portions of about 10 counties, among them Jefferson, Oswego, Wayne, with others in Western NY.
Representative Claudia Tenney has announces she will run for the 23rd Congressional district after the proposed maps were released which split Tenney's current district into multiple different seats.
