Central Square Bus Driver Arrested For DWI While Driving Children Around

Central Square, N.Y. - A Central Square Bus Driver is on administrative leave after being caught driving the school bus drunk this morning.

State Police say the school contacted them after 48 year old David Wines of West Monroe failed a random drug/alcohol test.

The school said his BAC was .09. Troopers also tested Wines and found his BAC to be .04%.

Mr. Wines is charged with transporting 55 school-age children while intoxicated, 47 of them were 15 years and younger.

He faces Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (E-felony), DWI - while operating a School Bus (E-felony), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A-misdemeanor).
