Syracuse, N.Y. - Candidates for Onondaga County Sheriff are coming forward.
This afternoon Esteban Gonzalez, announced officially he is seeking to be the next Sheriff of Onondaga County. Gonzalez is currently the chief custody deputy at the county jail and has been with the department for 30 years.
Lisa Dell today also committed to run sending a letter to the Republican committee asking for support in getting the endorsement. Dell has been the County Clerk for Onondaga County for the past 6 years. She also served as a Baldwinsville police officer from 1989 until 2009.
Last week, Sheriff Eugene Conway announced that he will not seek re-election.
