Former Governor Cuomo Has Forcible Touching Charge Officially Dropped

Albany, N.Y. - Former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s forcible touching charge has been officially dismissed by an Albany City judge.

Albany County DA David Soares said he could not successfully prosecute the case.

Judge Holly Trexler said the courts may not and should not interfere with the discretion of a district attorney. As such, the court grants the application.

DA Soares has said he found Cuomo's accuser Brittany Commisso "credible" but not enough evidence to prove in court that a crime occurred.
