Onondaga County Plans Drive-Thru COVID Test Kit Distribution At Fairgrounds

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County is going to hold a distribution event for COVID test kits.

County Executive Ryan McMahon announced that a drive-thru distribution site for COVID-19 test kits will be set at in the Orange parking lot of the New York State Fair starting at 11 Friday morning, January 7th.

Four thousands kits will be distributed, limit 2 kits per car. Tests will be distributed until 4:00 PM or until supplies are gone.

People are asked not to arrive before 11.

McMahon said, “While we know that the vaccine and booster continue to be the best form of protection against COVID-19, we must also remain vigilant about testing and identifying the virus. With this latest shipment of tests, our team in Emergency Management has mobilized a drive-thru site at the Orange Lot to get tests out into our community as quickly as possible."
