Syracuse, N.Y. - The Central New York Crime Analysis Center has released their year-end crime stats for the City of Syracuse for 2021.
They say overall, crime was down 9% for the year, mainly due to a 13% decline in property crime. However, violent crime, was up by 2% in 2021. The number of homicides in the City wound up at 29, down two from the 31 homicides in 2020. The report says, 69% of those homicides have been solved.
