Solvay Community Rally Support For Pizza Shop Destroyed By Fire

Solvay, N.Y. - There is now a fundraiser for the family whose Solvay pizza shop was destroyed by a fire earlier this week.

The Mangnano family says that Bianchi’s Pizza Pad was completely destroyed in this week's fire.

Now community members have started a GoFundMe aimed at helping the family get through the holidays and support their 10 out of work employees.

The fire broke out sometime after 8:00 p.m. Monday night. Fire Investigators are still trying to pinpoint the cause of the fire but are focusing on the grease hood. Smoke was billowing from Bianchi’s Pizza Pad and spreading across Milton Avenue.

A man confined to a wheelchair was living in an apartment upstairs from the Pizza shop. He was assisted out of his apartment by several police officers. The Fundraiser is also aimed at assisting that man and his partner.
