DeWitt Police Looking For A Man Who Robbed Tops Friendly Market

Town of DeWitt, N.Y. - DeWitt Police are looking for a man who robbed the Tops Friendly Market on East Genesee Street Thursday afternoon around 3:30.

According to police, the suspect, who looks to be in his 30’s, average build, wearing a dark colored jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt underneath the jacket with the hood up, light colored face mask, blue jeans and light colored sneakers went to the front desk brandished a handgun, demanded money, and ran away.

Police report no injuries.

The suspect walked along the south side of the Tops building, cut through the cemetery behind the DeWitt Fire Department, through a wooded area and came out in the 200 block of Warwick Rd. The suspect was last seen on foot near the intersection of Warwick Rd. and Wellington Road.
