Oneida County Issues Mask Mandate For Most Businesses

Utica, N.Y. - Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente is issuing a mask mandate.

Picente says all residents will be will required to wear a mask at public indoor spaces such as grocery stores , theaters, sports venues and the like.

Restaurants are also included but you can remove your mask when seated at a table. This mandate begins Monday December 13th and will remain in effect until January 10th.

For private events such as parties and weddings, temperature checks and proof of vaccination will be required instead.

Any business or venue can opt-out of the rules if they commit to a system where they check people’s vaccine status at the door.
