Albany, N.Y. - Attorney General Letitia James has announced she is suspending her bid to be Governor and instead will run for re-election.
This comes after polls show Gov Hochul with a fairly large lead. James said " I have come to the conclusion that I must continue my work as attorney general. There are a number of important investigations and cases that are underway, and I intend to finish the job."
James still expected to face a primary for the nomination. 3 Democrats have already entered in the race, including law professor Zephyr Teachout, who ran for the seat in 2018.
