New Meeting Scheduled To Determine Jazz Fest's Future

Syracuse, N.Y. - Jazz Fest Fans may soon see the return of their beloved festival.

Founder Frank Malfitano says the summit is set for Dec. 17. He says the meeting will lay out the festival's five-year plan to County, City, and State leaders. The plan includes the resumption, continuation, and sustainability of Syracuse's legacy music festival. Jazz Fest would need $500,000 in annual funding. The money would be raised from a combination of public and private partners.

The last Jazz Fest was held in 2017.
