Cyber Monday is underway and the Better Business Bureau is sharing tips with shoppers to help them avoid getting scammed online.
The agency says to beware of false advertising and phony websites and make sure each site has legitimate contact information and a customer service number. Also, keep your antivirus software up to date which will help you avoid pop-up phishing scams.
The BBB also recommends making any online purchases with a credit card so if there are issues they can be resolved through your credit card company.
