Onondaga County Health Department Issues Warning Over A Spike In Overdoses

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Health Department issuing a warning about a spike in overdoeses. They say fourteen suspected overdoses occurred over a 24-hour.

The issue is taking place throughout the county, however recent reports show a concentration in the North and West sides of the City of Syracuse, with some happening in the Baldwinsville and Fayetteville areas.

Some reports link some occurrences to drugs sold in wax bags with a blue crown similar to the Rolex logo on them.

While the substances involved in these overdoses are yet to be confirmed, the health department says approximately 92% of the drug-related fatalities in Onondaga County have been connected to drugs that have been laced with fentanyl.
