Onondaga Lake Parkway Speed Limit Reduced For Winter Months

Liverpool, N.Y. - If you travel Onondaga Lake Parkway you should be aware of a speed limit change.

State DOT is reminding motorist that beginning today the speed limit along Onondaga Lake Parkway will be reduced from 55 to 45.

It will remain that until April 1. The Parkway is prone to blowing and drifting snow resulting in low visibility and slippery conditions.

Lowering the speed limit during the winter weather months is meant to increase safety along that busy route.
