Woman Who Was Shot And Killed By Syracuse Police ID'd

Syracuse, N.Y. - We are learning the name of the woman who was shot and killed by Syracuse police yesterday.

33 year old Allison Lackie was holding a knife when police arrived at a home on Ulster Street on Tipp Hill.

Police and crisis-trained officers tried to talked with Lackie in an effort to diffuse the situation.

Lackie started a fire in the home and after awhile she lunged at police holding the knife. That's when at least one officer fired.

The State Attorney General's office is continuing the investigation.
