Syracuse, N.Y. - A woman was fatally shot by police on Tipperary Hill in Syracuse early this morning:
The state Attorney General’s Office has taken over the investigation.
The shooting happened around 1-45 on Ulster near Lowell Ave. The woman was suffering from alcohol withdrawal at the time.
Police say that she was menacing police and others with a large knife before she was shot.
