Syracuse Police Deal With Stabbing And Large Threatening Crowd, 4 arrested

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police responded to a chaotic and dangerous scene yesterday afternoon that resulted in a police officer being thrown to the ground and injured.

Just before three at 1101 South Geddes Street, police responded to a stabbing call.

They found a 44 year woman stabbed in the back. She's expected to be ok. A 17 year old female was arrested for the stabbing.

The situation became chaotic as several fights broke out among a large crowd that was threatening the officers. During one of the fights an officer was injured when his head struck the ground.

Police wound up also arresting 27 year old Kiara Banner for Menacing in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon and 43 year old Josiah James and 20 year old Randall Clark, both arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest for their actions during the disturbance.

The three were released on appearance tickets.
