Katko Says He Will Vote Yes To $1.2 Trillion Dollar Infrastructure Bill

Washington, D.C. - Congressman John Katko today split with House Republicans and said he will vote to pass a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.

Speaking from the floor of the House Chambers, Katko said “Our nation’s adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party would like nothing more than to see this body yield to partisan interests and refuse to invest in its own people."

The infrastructure bill has already passed through the Senate after bipartisan support.

Katko, is among only a handful of House Republicans to come out in favor of the bill. He has something to do with the formation of the bill as he co-chaired the Infrastructure Working Group of the caucus and that that was the basis for present Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

Katko encouraged House Leader Nancy Pelosi to bring the bill to a vote today.
