Syracuse Police Identified Two Killed In Mattydale Crash

Mattydale, N.Y. - Syracuse Police have identified the two people who died in a car crash on Malden Road yesterday morning.

Police say Matthew Kneer and his passenger Christine Olmstead both 50 years old, were traveling in a van when it left the road, crashed through a perimeter fence of the Syracuse Airport, and slammed into the side of a fuel tank, coming to rest near the tank.

They were discovered by a Signature Air employee. Both Kneer and Olmstead were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating.
