Syracuse, N.Y. - If you're heading to the FOO Fighters concert next Wednesday September 15th at the St Joseph's Health Amphitheater, you can get "approved" ahead of time.
Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon announced that on Tuesday there will be a precheck event at the Orange lot at the NYS Fairgrounds and the OnCenter, Syracuse.
The event is form 11am until 7pm. You will need to bring your identification, a negative COVID-19 test, or proof of vaccination to the clinic. After your documentation has been verified, staff will present you will documentation that you will be required to show the day of the concert. If you are prechecked, when you arrive for the concert, you can by pass the verification line and go right to security.
McMahon said this will allow people to enter the venue quicker and make everything run a little smoother and faster.
McMahon said this is the first real "vax and test" show and they expect 15 - 20,000 people to go through the gates. He said this si going to be something that the county will be doing a lot for other event s in the future.
