Grand Jury Clears Syracuse Police Officers In Shooting

Syracuse, N.Y. - A grand jury has found two Syracuse police officers were justified in shooting a 67-year-old man.

Police responded to Madison Towers in Syracuse last month after the roommate of Joseph Evans, said he tried to stab him.

Police found Evans who threatened the responding officers with a knife. That's when Officer Chad King shot Evans. Sgt. Jason Wells fired a bean-bag round from a "less-lethal " shotgun.

Evans is in custody and still recovering.
