Syracuse Police Report Multiple Shootings & Stabbing

Syracuse Police reporting multiple shootings and a stabbing early Saturday.

On Friday, August 20th, 2021, at around 11:38 P.M., Officers responded to the 4200 block of S. Salina Street for a shots fired call. A short time later, a 20-year-old male arrived at Upstate Hospital, by private vehicle, with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim is expected to survive. The victim reported that he was shot while standing in front of the Citgo gas station. The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222. ​

On Saturday, August 21st, 2021, at around 2:16 A.M., Officers responded to the 200 block of Richmond Avenue for a shots fired / disturbance call. Upon arrival, Officers located a large crowd in and around the Calcano's Tavern who were dispersing. Officers then found evidence of a shots fired, and several casings were located. A residence and two vehicles were also struck by gunfire. A short time later, a 33-year-old male called 911 from the 400 block of Onondaga Avenue to report that he had just been stabbed at the Richmond Avenue location during the large prior disturbance. The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive.
