Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon Issues Mask Mandate At The Fair

Syracuse, N.Y. - If you plan to attend the New York State Fair, make sure you take your mask.

Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon signed an Executive Order that mandates masks be worn indoors regardless of vaccine status.

In the press release McMahon said “The return of the New York State Fair is a welcomed sign of progress for our community, region and state. After 18 months, we have learned successful mitigation measures that have proven to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. First among them is the vaccine and I will continue to encourage folks every day to sign up for the vaccine. Another important tool are masks.”

McMahon said the mask mandate is an effort to ensure that the Fair is as successful as possible while protecting the public health.
