Syracuse Common Council Approves Funding To Plant Over 3000 Trees

The Syracuse Common Council has approved funding for the city to plant thousands of trees over the next few years.

$2 million from the federal American Rescue Plan will be used for the trees, while another $5 million was also approved to demolish unsightly properties across the city. Mayor Ben Walsh is also looking to spend the federal money on water infrastructure and funding small businesses.
