Rep. Katko is looking to renew the construction and hiring of thousands of new federal law enforcement officers to secure the southern border.
The bill known as "The Border Security for America Act of 2021" would force President Biden’s administration to reverse an early decision that effectively halted the wall’s construction.
It would also require the Department of Homeland Security to use more technology to monitor the border, including drones, license plate readers and remote surveillance sensors.
