Albany, N.Y. - If you like to fish but don't have a license this coming weekend is your chance.
Governor Cuomo announced today that this Saturday and Sunday (June 26th, 27th) is a Free Fishing Weekend in New York.
It's the second of six Free Fishing Days in the state each year. During designated free fishing days, New York residents and non-residents are permitted to fish for free without a fishing license.
People are reminded that although you don't need a license during free fishing days, all other fishing regulations remain in effect.
