Man Who Shot Trooper Faces Two Attempted Murder Charges, Trooper Released

Town of Colesville, N.Y. - The man who shot a State Trooper is being charged with two counts of attempted murder

State Police say Jason Johnson shot Trooper Becky Seager in the hip area after troopers were dispatched to a suspicious person complaint in the Town of Colesville Wednesday night. A second trooper sustained a shrapnel injury during the exchange of gunfire with Johnson.

Johnson remains behind bars and other charges are pending.

Trooper Seager has been released from the hospital.
