Richland, N.Y. - A fatal vehicle-buggy crash in Oswego County yesterday left an Amish woman dead.
State Police say a pick-up truck, driven by John Leathley, of Chittenango, was traveling on County Route 41 in Richland when he struck an Amish buggy from behind.
The impact threw the two occupants from the buggy. 22-year-old Susan Swartzentruber, from Pulaski, was pronounced dead at the scene.
21-year-old Enos Hershberger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Leathley was found not to be impaired.
No charges have been filed as of yet.
