Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh has cleared a significant hurdle in his bid for re-election.
Onondaga County Board of Elections Officials says he has submitted enough signatures to be on the ballot as a member of the Independence Party. Two Democrats and two Republicans are squaring off in a primary next month to see who will challenge Walsh on Election Day.
