The New York State Sheriffs’ Association is accusing the Anti-Defamation League of defamation.
After the verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial, the ADL said in a statement that “Our country’s policing and criminal legal systems have targeted and devalued Black, brown and indigenous lives for centuries”. The Sheriff's Association calls the ADL's statement "bigoted and unsupportable" and says it defames police officers who have dedicated their lives to protecting citizens.
