State Senator Rachel May Has Been Busy

Syracuse, N.Y. - Senator Rachel May has been busy dealing with a couple of issues.

As planning is underway for this year's Great New York State Fair, Senator Rachel is looking to make things easier and cheaper for the vendors.

May is introducing a bill that would allow State Fair vendors to carry over their liquor license from last year's fair.

The fair of course canceled last year due to the pandemic. May says vendors should be allowed to extend that license from 2020 to 2021.

And Bitcoin miners beware! Senator May is the co-sponsor of a bill that would put a three-year moratorium on all Cryptocurrency mining in the state. She wants the environmental impact of digital currencies to be investigated.

In other countries, there has been a concern raised over the electricity the computers use to "discover" new cryptocurrencies.
