Syracuse Fire crews battled two fires in the span of a few hours over the weekend.
The first blaze was reported around 9:15 Saturday morning at a home on the city's Northside. No one was inside the building on N Alvord St.
Just before 3, another fire broke out two miles away on Wadsworth St. A man inside the home was able to escape, and was taken to the hospital.
