Syracuse, N.Y. - New York State Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the City Of Syracuse against Skyline Apartment owner Green Skyline.
The ruling gives the city a $3700 dollar judgment in regards to code violations.
Green Skyline must pay 100 dollars for every day that elevators did not work at the complex. That was 37 days.
Green Skyline was not in court when the decision was handed down.
Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh declared the common areas of the apartment buildings unfit for occupancy. That allowed Onondaga County to withhold rent payments for tenants made by the Department of Social Services- Economic Security.
