Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon announcing the numbers on the COVID 19 front.
There are 72 new cases, the 7-day average stands at 1.4%. He said 49 people are in the hospital, with 8 in the ICU. He was happy to report once again, no new deaths. That makes over a week without any deaths. That hasn't happened in Onondaga County since November.
McMahon is urging anyone who hasn't been vaccinated yet to get their shots soon.
The county will be holding two more COVID vaccine clinics for high school students next week.
The first clinic will be held on Tuesday at East Syracuse Minoa High School for students aged 16 and 17.
Pfizer vaccines will also be administered at Liverpool High School next Friday.
The county is holding a large clinic at the OnCenter, Monday, April 19th.
