Onondaga County Sees Uptick In COVID-19 Cases

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon announced Thursday, that there are 143 new cases of COVID-19 in the county. That brings the number of active cases to 681. McMahon said he expected the increase, as families are returning from traveling during spring break.

He said 32 are in the hospital with 5 in ICU. He alos announced that sadly a 64-year-old African Amercian male died in the past 24 hours. The positvity rate is1.5%, and 7 day average stands at 1.2 %

He said if you got your shot last month at the drive thru clinci at Shoppingtown Mall, you will need to get your second does at a different location. McMahon said this Monday or Tuesday, April 13th,14th you will need to go to the OnCenter. They are moving the clinic due to the prosepct of bad weather.
