Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said that CNY families are about to get more help from the federal government.
During a visit to Fulton Tuesday, he announced that the child tax credit approved as part of the American Rescue Plan will be worth 42 million dollars to those families this year. They'll be able to claim a tax credit of up to three-thousand dollars for kids six to 17 years old and 36-hundred dollars for each child under six.
