New York, N.Y. - Governor Andrew Cuomo today speaking from the Jacob Javits Center in New York City said there are no excuses for not getting a COVID-19 vaccine shot.
As of today, everyone 16-and-up eligible in New York. Cuomo said that numerous health experts have said the vaccines is safe including those based in New York.
The governor says New York is still in a "footrace" with the coronavirus but adds we can win through the vaccine.
Cuomo also announced the establishment of an "Essential Workers Advisory Committee", who will provide design input and recommendations for a memorial to be built in New York City to honor New York's essential workers.
