Syracuse Man Steals About $10,000 From Home Depots Using Fake Barcodes

Syracuse, N.Y. - State Police have arrested a Syracuse man for stealing from area Home Depots, 28 times.

Trooper says 37-year-old Jeffrey Gordon created barcodes for lower dollar amounts, and scanned the fake barcodes at the self-checkout, paying the lower prices.

They found that Gordon did this 28 times at various Home Depot stores including, Dewitt, Camillus, Clay, Cicero, Auburn, and Watertown.

The total amount of theft is estimated to be $10,000.
