Vaccinated, Masked, Isolated, Hopeful, Exhausted, Blessed

Feeling like me? Vaccinated, masked, isolated, hopeful, exhausted, blessed?

I tend to be thankful, but I'm at my limit. I try hard to be grateful and count my blessings. I'm doing what I've always wanted to do. My kids are happy and healthy. I have hope. I have faith. I believe in God.

My Jewish friends and family are wrapping up Passover. My Christian family and friends are celebrating Easter. I wonder if the impact of either celebration is at the level it should be this year. Many of us are still isolated from religious services and family gatherings. Many of us just can't get into the virtual meetings.

Then there's the side of me that thinks maybe the pandemic is cleansing the world, forcing us to make a decision about the life we're living and our future. When was the last time you talked with a friend about God? Why is it so hard for some of us to share our story? I'll admit, I struggle with this one a lot. I pray about this one a lot.

Religion, politics, and a pandemic. The old testament. The new testament. Perhaps all of the answers have been written. Maybe God has made it so easy for us to live a happy, rewarding life. I do pray that you find some peace and comfort this holiday weekend.
