A Syracuse-based Social Security claims specialist is being accused of stealing public funding.
Sean Okrzesik has been charged with Social Security fraud and theft of government services. Investigators say he took over $12,000 from federal taxpayer money and used it to buy jewelry, a suit, and a vacation. The money was diverted into a separate account set up by Okrzesik, where he used someone's personal information to claim the benefits.
