Onondaga County Sheriffs Looking For Driver Of Crashed Car

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Sheriffs are looking for the driver of a stolen vehicle that crashed into a downtown building last night in the City of Syracuse.

Last night a deputy in the Mattydale area noticed a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The driver refused to stop and a chase began. With assistance from Air1, the flight crew monitored and relayed the direction the vehicle was traveling to the ground units.

They wound up in Syracuse.

As the driver attempted to turn onto South State Street, they lost control and struck an apartment building. The driver fled on foot but the passenger 23-year-old Preston Fagan was arrested.

Fagan was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the 4th degree and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
