The state Board of Regents has cancelled most Regents exams for this year.
Many students now need to simply pass their courses to advance to the next grade or graduate. However, they're still scheduled to take four federally mandated tests in certain subjects. Officials are hoping the federal government will make students exempt from those exams as well.
