SU Fraternity To Be Reinstated After Judge Rules

Oswego, N.Y. - A Syracuse University fraternity, suspended in 2019 over allegations of racist behavior can be reinstated according to a Judge.

State Supreme Court Judge Scott DelConte said the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity had no role in the incident that lead to them being kicked off campus, nor did they get a chance to defend themselves.

The Judge found that the incident, which involved a person yelling racists comments, involved only one person, and that person was neither from Syracuse, nor a member of the Fraternity.

The judge said an SU administrator was wrong last year in overturning a University Appeals Board decision to reinstate the Frat.
